I AM HERE FOR YOUR  BEST OCCASION

FAQ

Where are you located and do you travel?

I currently live in Chicago, but I travel back to New England quite frequently- so both the midwest and the east coast!

Can we meet beforehand?

Yes! I love getting together with my clients before the big day- if timing and location work out, of course. It helps me get to know you, which will allow me to highlight your personality in my work.

What equipment do you use?

I use a Canon R6 along with a variety of lenses, my favorite being my 24-70 mm. I also carry a flash if or when I need it, and I use two SD cards at all times.

Can I have the raw files?

Unfortunately, I do not allow my clients to have access to the RAW files. For one, several of them tend to be photos that did not make the final cut (i.e. eyes closed, funny faces, etc), and they also require special software to view them properly.

Lastly, I put a lot of time and effort into the post-processing to get your photos to look the way they are. You’ll enjoy them much better as the RAW files are not always as exciting.

Should we feed you?

Technically, no...but it is a nice gesture and I’ll always take you up on the offer! Shooting weddings usually require long hours and I often work through lunch. Truthfully, I’m pretty hungry come dinner time and often need to eat by then :). I’d hate to miss something important because I’m out searching for food.

How far in advance do we need to book?

I usually book weddings up to a year in advance, and I only take on a certain number of weddings per year. If you love my work and we are a good fit, I do encourage you to book sooner rather than later in order to secure your date. Nothing is worse than having to decline a dream client because their date was already booked 🙁

If you love my work but feel like it’s short notice- please reach out anyway! Sometimes I have a spontaneous day open, or I can try to arrange my personal schedule to fit in a smaller ceremony nearby.

Do you travel elsewhere?

Sure do! I travel anywhere within the U.S. and I have a valid passport if you’re planning a destination.

What can I expect if I book a session?

I LOVE capturing those everyday moments in your family's life, and I'll send a long a guide to help you prepare for your upcoming session. This includes the time of day, what to wear, what to do beforehand, and where to meet- whether it's home or another fun location. As a lifestyle photographer, you can also expect our session to be laid-back with very little prompts or posing...although I am there to help guide certain positions if needed. Fresh 48 sessions usually last 1-2 hours, whereas all other sessions last roughly 2 hours.

When will we get our photos?

I typically send previews within two weeks and deliver the full gallery 6-8 weeks after your wedding day! There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes in order to create the perfect gallery for you!

Do I get more than one photographer?

Of course! A second shooter is available for additional coverage- particularly for the groomsmen getting ready, different perspectives at the ceremony, and to help cover larger wedding receptions. Second shooters are included in several of my packages, or they can be included a la carte.

I set a date, but what if you're not available?

It happens and I'm happy to help in whatever way I can.

If you love my work I can set you up with a trusted associate to capture your special day, or I can refer you to some other amazing photographers I know and love!

We love your work! Do you offer other types of photography services?

Thank you- and Yes! While I am mostly busy with weddings, I do take on a select number of family and/or newborn sessions each year in addition to some other projects! always reach out if you have questions about additional services.
